Summer is finally here!  I grew up in the tropics and love all these steamy and hot!

The start of summer in Queensland is my favourite time of the year, the breeze is still cool while it’s really hotting up. I love the sun, sand,  cocktails, the ocean and all things coconut,.

To slide into the season comfortably and in-style requires bright colours paired with minimal basics. A staple wardrobe of flowing dresses and fresh accessories, and always the confidence to style the season your way!

David Lynch… between two worlds

My first experience of David Lynch was his award winning film Eraser Head.  It was pivotal to my love of cinema at the tender age of 16.

When the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane announced an exhibition showcasing his life’s work. I was beyond excited.

The exhibition showcased paintings, sketches, sculptures, audio and film.  Curated to express and wrap you a sensory experience that stays with you long after you have left the gallery … a bit like David himself I would image.

The Milton Markets… A foodie’s Utopia.

I love farmers markets, and Brisbane has some great ones!  The newest addition are the Milton Markets, boasting over 140 stalls from local farmers, and farmers from around South East Queensland and also Northern NSW, specialty stalls and spray-free and organic produce to hand made jewellry.

I love markets as it’s a place where community can come together and celebrate fresh farm to table produce and best of all you can sample until your belly aches, it really is a foodie’s utopia.

Milton Markets are a rebirth of the Red Hill Markets and by all advertising promised to be bigger and better, and they didn’t disappoint. Butchers, barristers, beekeepers, florists, artisan bakers to crafts, fashion and local artists all in one place.
